Spa Basics

How expensive is it to operate a hot tub?

Heating the water is the primary cost of operating a hot tub. The price is usualu less than .60 cents a day-even in the winter months.

How much room do I need for the spa and what can I set it on:

Most of our 5 person spas are 7'x 7' and 6 person spas are 8'x 8'. There are many different sizes but these are the most popular. The spa can be set on any hard level surface, we recommend a cement pad, decking or a spa pad. The spa will transfer its weight to approximately 150 pounds per square foot. To deliver the spa through gates 42"of width is normally needed.

What does the spa owner need to do to prepare for delivery:

You need a flat level surface to set spa, enough clearance through gates, house eves, air conditioners  etc...to set spa in place, a licensed electrician to connect spa (we can help you with this) and a garden hose to fill it up.

How much maintenance does a spa require:

Our hot tubs are easy to maintain. Submerging in crystal clear water is exactly what you want. Some chemicals may be necessary to achieve clean water. But you can significantly reduce the use of chemicals in several ways. Choose a hot tub with an advanced filtration system, purchase an optional ozonator and this makes maitenance simple. We offer free classes on water maintenance and how to operate the spa.

What about the warranty?

You want your hot tub to bring you joy and rejuvenation for many years to come! Make sure the dealer has sold the brand of spas he is selling for at least five years, the more experience the dealer has with the line of spas he sells the more cofident you can be he will still be selling the same brand when you need parts and repair. Our repair people are factory certified, with a 40 hour refresher course every year to maintain this certification. Finally, look for companies that follow strict standards in production and manufacturing (i.e. ISO 9001) to guarantee overall product quality.

How is the water temperature controlled?

Most quality hot tubs have sophisticated digital thermostatic-controlled electronic systems, in other words, high tech systems that keep the water within one degree of the temperature you select. Most people heat there spa to 100-104 degrees.

Will I need to install plumbing and electrical for my hot tub?

No special plumbing is required! Hot tubs are portable and above-ground. Simply fill up the hot tub with a garden hose.

A hard wired 240V electrical connection is required to power your hot tub. We also have models that will run on 110V.

What is the relationship between cost and value?

Hot tub prices vary for many reasons. Like all engineered products, they correspond to features, materials used and overall craftmanship. We will help you choose the best hot tub for your needs, based on performance and value. Remember, it's about getting the finest, most enjoyable product relative to your investment and your overall hot tub experience for years to come.
